About the album

Gob formed in Langley, British Columbia in 1993 and cut their first recordings that same year, with Tom Thacker and Theo Goutzinakis trading vocals over fast, scrappy skate punk. The self-titled debut was where it started; early versions of songs that would follow the band for years first turned up here.

Hearing it now, the rawness is the point: nine short bursts, from "Custer's Last One Night Stand" to "One Size Fits All", played by kids who had no idea how far the band would go. Flip the record and the same songs come back, played by the veterans they became.
