SNFU: ...And No One Else Wanted To Play (40th anniversary, coloured vinyl) [TRUST]

Why you'll love it

Trust Records pressed this coloured vinyl edition for the album's 40th anniversary in December 2025. ...And No One Else Wanted To Play was SNFU's first full-length, and Ken "Chi Pig" Chinn's wild, anti-sexist lyrics made it a cornerstone of Canadian hardcore.

About the album

SNFU came out of Edmonton in the early eighties, and their debut LP (first issued on BYO Records in 1985) captured a band that played faster and stranger than almost anyone around them. Chi Pig's vocals lurch from sneer to howl, while the twin guitars of the Belke brothers keep everything hurtling forward.

Songs like "Cannibal Café", "Broken Toy" and "Money Matters" helped define skate punk before the term had settled; bands across the continent would spend the next decade catching up. Forty years on, the record still sounds unhinged in the best way.
