20th anniversary pressing of Comeback Kid's hardcore landmark Wake The Dead on sky blue galaxy vinyl, cut at 45 RPM. On New Damage Records.
This is the 20th anniversary pressing of Wake The Dead, on sky blue galaxy vinyl and cut at 45 RPM. The title track is the band's signature song (it even soundtracked Burnout Revenge), and Bill Stevenson produced the album at The Blasting Room.
Comeback Kid made Wake The Dead in 13 days at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado, with Bill Stevenson producing and Jason Livermore engineering. It came out on February 22, 2005, eleven songs in under 26 minutes, and it put a Winnipeg side project on hardcore stages around the world.
It was Scott Wade's last album as singer; Andrew Neufeld, then on guitar, stepped up to the mic afterwards. The title track turned up in the Burnout Revenge and Burnout Legends games and still anchors every show; as Neufeld puts it, "The song lands as the biggest moment in every single set that we've played."
For the anniversary the band toured the album in full, starting in Winnipeg exactly 20 years to the day, and re-recorded the title track with the current line-up.
