About the album

Comeback Kid started in Winnipeg in 2001 as a side project and became one of hardcore's most travelled bands. Heavy Steps, their seventh album, came out in January 2022; they cut it at Private Ear in Winnipeg with John Paul Peters, and Will Putney mixed it.

Andrew Neufeld called the title track "a bold statement of a riff right off the bat," and the record keeps that pace for 11 songs. In his words it's "about hitting the ground running, not knowing when or where the ground could break from underneath you."

Comeback Kid is setting the bar very high for hardcore early in 2022!
