Four-song 2010 EP and the heaviest thing Alexisonfire ever recorded, on 12" vinyl cut at 45 RPM.
Dogs Blood is Alexisonfire at full force: four songs that lean into sludge and doom, the last record before the band's 2011 split. The title track still opens their sets.
After Old Crows / Young Cardinals, Alexisonfire went somewhere darker. Dogs Blood trades the melodic hooks for slow, crushing riffs, with George Pettit's voice tearing through the middle of it and the guitars tuned low enough to rattle a room.
Dine Alone put the EP out on November 2, 2010, and it became an unlikely fan favourite: a short, heavy record that hinted at a direction the band might have taken next. "Dogs Blood" turned up again on the House Of Strombo live set in 2019.
