Remixed and remastered 2002 debut from St. Catharines' Alexisonfire, cut at 45 RPM across a 180g 2LP set in a gatefold jacket.
Dine Alone remixed and remastered the debut and spread it across two 180g LPs cut at 45 RPM, so the twin-vocal attack hits harder than the original CD ever did. The album that started it all went Platinum in Canada and still carries ".44 Caliber Love Letter" and "Pulmonary Archery".
Alexisonfire were barely out of high school in St. Catharines, Ontario when they made this album, and it sounds like it: restless, loud and certain of nothing except the need to be heard. George Pettit screams; Dallas Green answers with a clean, aching melody; the guitars of Wade MacNeil and Chris Steele's bass lock the two together.
Distort Entertainment first put the LP out on October 31, 2002, and it became a blueprint for a generation of Canadian post-hardcore bands. ".44 Caliber Love Letter" and "Pulmonary Archery" were the singles; "Waterwings (And Other Poolside Fashion Faux Pas)" and "Jubella" became the songs fans shouted back.
Music Canada certified the album Platinum in 2018, sixteen years after it arrived. This 2LP edition is the version Dine Alone remixed and remastered for vinyl.
