20th anniversary edition of Moneen's 2006 album The Red Tree on red with black smoke vinyl, produced by Brian McTernan.
Moneen's third album gets a 20th anniversary pressing on red with black smoke vinyl, its title made into colour. Brian McTernan produced it, and it took the band to No. 42 in Canada and onto the US Heatseekers chart.
By 2006 Moneen had toured the world on the back of their emo breakthrough, and The Red Tree is the sound of a band trying to grow up without losing its nerve. Brian McTernan produced it over the winter of 2005, and the songs are leaner and more direct, though the titles are still glorious mouthfuls.
"If Tragedy's Appealing, Then Disaster's An Addiction" became a fan favourite; "Bleed And Blister" returns in a third version after its Switcheroo outing; and "The Song I Swore To Never Sing" closes the LP in quiet resolve. Vagrant first put it out on April 11, 2006.
