Seventh album from Juno-nominated punk veterans The Flatliners, on translucent blue vinyl with black splatter. On Dine Alone Records, first out May 2026.
Cold World is The Flatliners' newest album, made by the same four players after 24 years together, and this pressing is translucent blue with black splatter. Punktuation! heard warmth under the chill, and "Good, You?" and "Pulpit" are two of their sharpest singles yet.
Cold World is The Flatliners' seventh album, and the same four friends who started the band in Richmond Hill in 2002 still share every credit. It picks up where New Ruin left off: that record wrestled with the damage handed down by the last generation; this one lives in the clearer, colder air that comes after.
"Good, You?" set the tone in February, a snotty jab at men who can't say how they feel, with a video built on the music-video era the band grew up in. "Pulpit" followed, and on release day "And They're Off", which the band calls "a soundtrack for the mounting distractions we surround ourselves with."
We may live in a Cold World, but there are still small pockets of warmth to comfort us.
