Why you'll love it

Moneen's 2003 album waited fifteen years for its first vinyl pressing, and Dine Alone gave it the full treatment: a 2LP set at 45 RPM in a gatefold jacket with a lyric sheet. It is the record that made the Brampton band a cornerstone of Canadian emo.

About the album

Moneen came out of Brampton, Ontario playing a twisting, emotional kind of post-hardcore, all stop-start guitars and Kenny Bridges' searching voice. Are We Really Happy With Who We Are Right Now? caught them at their most ambitious, with song titles as long as short stories and choruses that refused to resolve neatly.

Smallman Records first put it out in 2003, and it travelled further than anyone expected, turning Moneen into a touring band and a reference point for a decade of Canadian emo. Dine Alone brought it to vinyl for the band's 15th anniversary shows.
