Counterparts' fourth album on coke bottle green vinyl, the first record they made after signing to New Damage and Pure Noise. Eleven tracks, home to "Burn" and "Collapse".
This pressing puts Tragedy Will Find Us on coke bottle green vinyl. It was the first album Counterparts made after signing with New Damage and Pure Noise in 2015, and Brendan Murphy called it "a progression in both the band's musicianship and my own personal well-being."
Counterparts signed to New Damage in Canada and Pure Noise in the US in April 2015, and Tragedy Will Find Us arrived that July. The eleven songs are short and urgent; "Stillborn" opens at full speed, and the record barely pauses before "Solace" closes it out.
"Collapse" and "Tragedy" became early favourites, the latter one of the band's most openly emotional songs. It is a record built on tension (riffs that tighten, then let go) and on Murphy's unflinching lyrics.
