Six-song live set from George Stroumboulopoulos's living room, cut the night Alexisonfire debuted "Familiar Drugs" in February 2019. On vinyl from Dine Alone Records.
This LP captures the night Alexisonfire came back: February 15, 2019, in front of a small room of diehard fans at House of Strombo, the same night "Familiar Drugs" arrived as their first new song in nearly a decade. The six songs run from that comeback single to "Pulmonary Archery", "Young Cardinals" and "Happiness By The Kilowatt".
George Stroumboulopoulos built House of Strombo as an intimate room for bands he loved, and Alexisonfire filled it with the noise of a reunion. The set opens with "Familiar Drugs", a song still hours old to most of the people in the room, then swings back through the records that made the band a fixture of Canadian post-hardcore.
What comes through is the closeness. George Pettit's screams and Dallas Green's clear tenor sit right on top of you; the crowd sings "This Could Be Anywhere In The World" back at them; and "Happiness By The Kilowatt" closes the night the way it closed so many of their shows. Dine Alone put it out for Record Store Day Black Friday 2025.
