Sparta's 2004 second album as a 2LP set on iridescent vinyl, an artist exclusive limited to 200 copies in an embossed widespine jacket.
This is the artist exclusive pressing: iridescent vinyl, limited to 200 copies, in an embossed widespine jacket. Porcelain spreads Sparta's second album across four sides, home to "Breaking The Broken" and "Hiss The Villain".
Sparta rose from the split of At The Drive-In, with Jim Ward stepping forward as frontman, and Porcelain is the record where the band stopped sounding like an aftershock. It is moodier and more melodic than the debut; "Guns Of Memorial Park" opens in a swirl of guitars, and "Breaking The Broken" became one of their best-known songs.
Across fourteen tracks the album shifts from slow-building tension to sudden bursts, with Ward's voice holding it together. Dine Alone's reissue gives it room to breathe on two LPs.
