First vinyl pressing of d.b.s.' 1995 debut album, on splatter vinyl with an alternate cover. Twenty fast, funny bursts of North Vancouver skate punk.
Tales From The Crib makes its vinyl debut here, on splatter vinyl with an alternate cover made for this edition. It is the first full-length from d.b.s., the North Vancouver band that toured California with Gob the year this record came out.
d.b.s. started in 1992 as a band of grade eight kids covering The Ramones, and Tales From The Crib (a pun on Tales From The Crypt) shows how quickly they learned. Cecil English recorded it at Profile Studios in the summer of 1994, and Nefer Records put it out on CD the following year.
The songs are short, loud and often very funny: "School Sux", "The Canada Song" and "30 Seconds" are over almost before they start, while "Sorsha" and "Jay" show a band already reaching for something bigger. Within a few years they would share stages with Rancid, Anti-Flag, D.O.A. and the Bouncing Souls.
