Indie exclusive white vinyl pressing of Sparta's 2022 self-titled album, with an alternate purple cover. Features Thursday's Geoff Rickly and Tucker Rule.
This indie exclusive comes on white vinyl with alternate purple artwork made for the vinyl. Sparta's self-titled fourth album features Thursday's Geoff Rickly and Tucker Rule, plus Kayleigh Goldsworthy and Angelica Garcia, and Jim Ward called it "a starting point for the band."
Twenty years after Wiretap Scars, Sparta named an album after themselves, and it plays like a reset. The band produced most of it on their own, and Jim Ward has said it was time to scrap some things, let go of baggage and forge a new path.
Friends fill out the sound: Thursday's Geoff Rickly and Tucker Rule, guitarist Michael James Adams, keyboardist Kenny Hopper, and singers Kayleigh Goldsworthy and Angelica Garcia. "Until The Kingdom Comes" is the big, sweeping centrepiece; "Kill The Man, Eat The Man" opens the album at a sprint.
