Wishing Moon on marble 2LP, Wintersleep's eighth album and first in six years, recorded in the Mojave with Nicolas Vernhes. Out March 27, 2026.
Wintersleep's first album in six years, made in the Mojave Desert with producer Nicolas Vernhes (The War On Drugs, Spoon). Lead single "I Got A Feeling" reached the Canadian alternative chart.
The band took these songs to Nicolas Vernhes' studio near Pioneertown, out in the Mojave, and let the place work on them. Paul Murphy has said they "needed that energy of not knowing", and you can hear it: the title track rides a dreamy, kraut-rock groove, and the desert seeps into the guitars.
Wishing Moon arrived on Dine Alone in March 2026 with twelve songs that move between prog, folk and alternative rock. "I Got A Feeling" came late in pre-production, and "Abyss" and "You & I" show how far a band two decades in can still stretch.
