10th Anniversary 2LP of City and Colour's platinum No. 1 album on black ice with splatter vinyl, with a bonus white 7" of two extra songs. Limited to 2,500 copies.
This 10th Anniversary set adds a bonus 7" with "The Way It Used To Be" and "Nowhere, Texas", songs you won't find on the album. The Hurry and the Harm went to No. 1 in Canada, No. 4 in Australia and No. 16 in the US, and "Thirst" went Gold.
The Hurry and the Harm arrived on June 4, 2013, and it's City and Colour's most direct record. Green cut it with producer Alex Newport at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, and the songs come in lean and bright, more road-worn rock than campfire folk.
The title track sets the tone: a song about wanting to be understood without having to explain yourself. From there the LP swings between the stomp of "Thirst" and "Commentators" and the slow ache of "Two Coins" and "Death's Song".
Dine Alone marked the album's tenth birthday with this deluxe pressing: four sides at 45 RPM in a die-cut gatefold, and a 7" of songs from the same era.
