![City and Colour: Sometimes Lullaby [DINE ALONE]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/74980951/1652x1652x2/dine-alone-promo-city-and-colour-sometimes-lullaby.jpg)
City and Colour's debut album Sometimes, reimagined as lullabies by Dallas Green and Erik Hughes of Moneen for its 20th anniversary.
Dallas Green and his old friend Erik Hughes of Moneen rebuilt the whole of Sometimes as lullabies, swapping acoustic guitar for soft keyboards. It's a 20th anniversary gift to the album that started City and Colour, and a Record Store Day Black Friday 2025 title.
Sometimes Lullaby was recorded years ago, shelved through the pandemic, and finally brought out on November 28, 2025 to mark two decades of Sometimes. The melodies are the ones you know; the guitars are gone, and keyboards carry each song somewhere softer.
Hearing "Save Your Scissors" or "Hello, I'm In Delaware" this way is strange at first, then oddly moving: the songs were always quiet, and here they finally get to whisper. It works as a bedtime record and as a fresh look at a Canadian classic.
