About the album

Ruby Waters wrote most of What's The Point over about a year and a half in a cabin off the Sea to Sky Highway, where she built a studio with friends. Long-time collaborator Sam Willows (The Beaches) produced it, with sessions in Whistler, Squamish and Toronto.

The songs sit between alternative rock and indie pop, about acceptance, love, sadness and sex, and the album opens on "90 To 99" and closes with "Droppin Out". Waters, who grew up in Shelburne, Ontario, said making it was "really allowing me to grow and shed some old skin."
