Dine Alone exclusive dark blue splatter pressing of What's The Point, Ruby Waters' 2024 debut full-length. Copies limited.
We're lucky to have a couple of Dine Alone's own exclusive dark blue splatter pressings for the takeover, a variant the label sells only through its own store. Inside is Ruby Waters' debut full-length, songs about acceptance, love and sadness from a Juno-nominated songwriter with more than 50 million streams.
Ruby Waters wrote most of What's The Point over about a year and a half in a cabin off the Sea to Sky Highway, where she built a studio with friends. Long-time collaborator Sam Willows (The Beaches) produced it, with sessions in Whistler, Squamish and Toronto.
The songs sit between alternative rock and indie pop, about acceptance, love, sadness and sex, and the album opens on "90 To 99" and closes with "Droppin Out". Waters, who grew up in Shelburne, Ontario, said making it was "really allowing me to grow and shed some old skin."
