Blue and orange smash vinyl of Hoopla, the second Weird Nightmare album from Alex Edkins of METZ fame, co-produced with Spoon's Jim Eno.
Blue and orange smash vinyl of Alex Edkins' second Weird Nightmare album. He co-produced it with Jim Eno of Spoon, trading the roar he's known for in METZ for sunny, hook-filled power pop.
Edkins recorded Hoopla at Seth Manchester's Machines With Magnets in Providence, with Loel Campbell on drums and Roddy Kuester on bass.
Ten songs run from "Headful Of Rain" to "Where I Belong," and Julianna Riolino joins him on "Bright City Lights." Sub Pop issued it worldwide on May 1, 2026, with Dine Alone in Canada.
