Broncho: Double Vanity [DINE ALONE]

Why you'll love it

Broncho's third album, here on LP from Dine Alone Records. The Oklahoma band produced it at home in Norman with Chad Copelin and Jarod Evans, and "Fantasy Boys" led the way as its first single.

About the album

Double Vanity is the sound of a band leaning into fog. Ryan Lindsey's voice sits deep in the reverb, the guitars blur at the edges, and the songs borrow as much from '80s punk and shoegaze as from the garage rock that first made Broncho's name.

The band recorded it at Blackwatch in Norman, Oklahoma, producing alongside Chad Copelin and Jarod Evans, the same team behind Just Enough Hip To Be Woman. "Speed Demon" is the lone sprint; elsewhere the LP prefers a slow, hazy pull, from "Señora Borealis" to the closing "Wanna."

A positive artistic step forward in many ways.
