Vancouver's EKKSTACY on his self-titled third album, with guests The Kid LAROI and Trippie Redd, on LP from Dine Alone Records.
EKKSTACY's third album brings in The Kid LAROI on "alright" and Trippie Redd on "problems." This is the Canadian vinyl, pressed by Dine Alone Records.
Khyree Zienty, the Vancouver singer behind EKKSTACY, made his name crossing SoundCloud rap with post-punk gloom, and this self-titled LP sharpens that blend. It opens with "i don't have one of those" and tears through "luv of my life" in under two minutes.
He framed the album as an autobiographical look at life as a working musician. It arrived on January 19, 2024, and Dine Alone pressed the Canadian vinyl that August; the closing pair, "the headless horseman lost his way" and "i can't find anyone," end it on a low, aching note.
Bracing, addictive, and packed with life.
Robin Murray, Clash
