Jimmy Eat World's 2016 album, produced with Justin Meldal-Johnsen and home of "Sure And Certain", in a gatefold jacket with lyric sheet.
Integrity Blues reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200 and drew some of the best reviews of Jimmy Eat World's later career. Justin Meldal-Johnsen co-produced it, and "Sure And Certain" and "Get Right" carried it on alternative radio.
Jimmy Eat World had nothing left to prove by 2016, and Integrity Blues sounds like a band using that freedom. They recorded it in Los Angeles with Justin Meldal-Johnsen, and the songs have a spacious, polished sheen, built around Jim Adkins' patient melodies and a new fondness for atmosphere.
"Sure And Certain" is the anthem, a big, warm chorus in the tradition of "The Middle"; the title track and "Pol Roger" drift into slower, stranger territory and close the album in a long exhale. RCA put it out on October 21, 2016.
Their best album in over a decade.
