Charley Crockett's 2025 album Dollar a Day as an indie exclusive on pale blue vinyl with alternate cover art, with "Crucified Son" and "All Around Cowboy."
This indie store exclusive comes on pale blue vinyl with its own alternate artwork. Dollar a Day is the second chapter of Crockett's Sagebrush Trilogy, co-produced with Shooter Jennings at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles.
Charley Crockett has put out more music this decade than any other country singer, which is why people call him the hardest working man in the genre. He left high school at 17 with a pawn-shop guitar, taught himself to play on the road, and you can still hear those miles in every song he sings.
Dollar a Day picks up where Lonesome Drifter left off, taking 1970s country and funk and folding them into Crockett's own drawl. He and Shooter Jennings cut it in Studio 3 at Sunset Sound. "Crucified Son" and "All Around Cowboy" came out as singles, "Lone Star" and "El Paso to Denver" ride the old western highways, and "Age of the Ram (Theme)" points the way to the trilogy's closing chapter. He digs into other writers too, from Dick Glasser's title track to Rich Minus's "Die With My Dreams On" and "Destroyed," a Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham song.
It's honky-tonk with a cosmic western glow, and it sounds like it was made in a hurry by someone who knows exactly what he's doing. At his current rate, the next one will be out before you've finished reading this.
