About the album

Some singers make you wait years for a second album and then give you ten songs. Morgan Wallen made fans wait and then handed over 30, split into three sections and running past 96 minutes, which is generous by any standard.

Joey Moi produced, with Jacob Durrett, Charlie Handsome, Matt Dragstrem and Dave Cohen helping out. "7 Summers" and "Wasted On You" gave Wallen his first two top-ten hits on the Hot 100, "More Than My Hometown" is a small-town heart-tugger, "Sand In My Boots" became a single after the fact, and "Cover Me Up" and "This Bar" show off that easy Tennessee drawl. Chris Stapleton and Ben Burgess drop in as guests, with Burgess on "Outlaw."

It went on to become the first album by a solo artist to spend 100 weeks in the Billboard 200 top ten, which suggests that once people started playing it, they simply forgot where the off switch was.
