About the album

Four years and a string of record-breaking singles in, Blackpink finally sat down to make a full-length album, and Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa clearly weren't interested in easing into it. Longtime producer Teddy Park steered the sessions for YG Entertainment, with R. Tee, 24, Tommy Brown and Steven Franks among the hands on deck. The songs move easily between Korean and English, and the guest list reaches well beyond Seoul.

"How You Like That" set the pace with a video that drew 86.3 million views in its first day. "Ice Cream," with Selena Gomez and co-written by Ariana Grande, became the group's highest-charting US single, Cardi B swaggers through "Bet You Wanna," and "Lovesick Girls" went to No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. "Pretty Savage" and "Crazy Over You" show the harder edge, while "You Never Know" closes on a quiet, reflective note.

It also made them the first girl group to top the Billboard Artist 100. Eight songs, one colour scheme, and no confusion whatsoever about which vinyl to choose.
