![Willie Colón & Rubén Blades: Siembra [FANIA / CRAFT]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/40103086/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-willie-colon-ruben-blades-siembra-fania.jpg)
Willie Colón and Rubén Blades' 1978 salsa masterpiece Siembra: "Pedro Navaja," "Plástico" and "Buscando Guayaba."
Siembra became one of the best-selling salsa albums of all time and a landmark of socially conscious Latin music.
Bandleader and trombonist Willie Colón and singer-songwriter Rubén Blades joined forces on Fania for Siembra, pairing hard-swinging New York salsa arrangements with Blades' sharp, storytelling lyrics about city life and Latin American identity.
"Pedro Navaja" is a legendary story-song that became a phenomenon across the Americas, "Plástico" opens with a disco-flavoured twist before exploding into salsa, and "Buscando Guayaba" and the title track keep the dance floor full.
