About the album

Produced by Paul A. Rothchild at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, the Doors' debut captures Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore at their hungry, hypnotic best, honed by months of club gigs on the Sunset Strip.

In mono, "Break On Through" hits even harder, "Light My Fire" swirls with Manzarek's organ, "Soul Kitchen" and "Twentieth Century Fox" groove, and "The End" remains a dramatic, unforgettable finale.

The mono mix, as most listeners first heard it in 1967. Break on through, in one channel.
