Doors debut from 1967, one of rock's great first albums: "Light My Fire," "Break On Through (To the Other Side)," "The Crystal Ship" and "The End."
The Doors' debut introduced Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore to the world, and "Light My Fire" went all the way to number one.
Recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood in late summer 1966 with producer Paul A. Rothchild, the Doors' debut captures a band honed by months of club shows, with Manzarek's swirling organ, Krieger's flamenco-tinged guitar and Morrison's commanding baritone.
"Break On Through" is an electrifying opener, the full-length "Light My Fire" stretches out into a classic organ and guitar jam, "The Crystal Ship" is a gorgeous ballad, and the epic "The End" closes the record in dramatic fashion.
