About the album

Jason Pierce poured everything into Ladies and Gentlemen, building huge, swirling songs from drones, horns, strings, gospel choirs and free jazz noise. The Balanescu Quartet, the London Community Gospel Choir and Dr. John all appear.

The title track drifts in like a lullaby, "Come Together" and "Electricity" are thrilling rock 'n' roll rushes, "Broken Heart" is achingly gorgeous, and the closing "Cop Shoot Cop" is a 17-minute trip into the cosmos.
