About the album

Most country stars write about growing up from a safe distance. Luke Combs spent two years writing this one, and it plays like a man taking stock: where he came from, who he became and what he'd do it all again for.

"Doin' This" opens the album with a love letter to playing music whether anyone's paying or not, and "The Kind of Love We Make" swaps the bar stool for the slow dance. "Outrunnin' Your Memory" is a full-throttle duet with Miranda Lambert, "Tomorrow Me" and "Used to Wish I Was" look inward, and "Going, Going, Gone" closes on a heartbreaker with Combs on acoustic guitar. He produced it with Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton, with Nashville aces like pedal steel players Gary Morse and Scotty Sanders in the band. "The Kind of Love We Make" followed it up the charts to No. 2 on Country Airplay.

It also reached the top ten here in Canada, as well as in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Scotland. Twelve songs, one LP, and no need to wait for the radio to play the good one.
