The MMLP2 won the Grammy for Best Rap Album and carried "The Monster" with Rihanna to No. 1 on the Hot 100, with "Rap God" as the jaw-dropping centrepiece.
Thirteen years after The Marshall Mathers LP, Eminem went back to the house on the cover, literally and figuratively, with a sequel built on the same fearless energy. Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin executive produced, and the result is one of his most explosive records.
"Rap God" is six minutes of jaw-dropping speed, earning a Guinness record for the most words in a hit single. "The Monster" with Rihanna went to No. 1 on the Hot 100, Rick Rubin's "Berzerk" rides a Beastie Boys-style rock beat, "Bad Guy" picks up where "Stan" left off, and "Headlights" with Nate Ruess is a heartfelt apology to his mother.
It debuted at No. 1 in the US, and it's Slim Shady at his most technically dazzling.
