Hand-signed copies of Chug, the debut album from Toronto's Cam Kahin, from Dine Alone Records. Copies are limited, get them while you can!
Dine Alone Records set aside signed copies of Chug, the first full-length from Toronto's Cam Kahin, and we're lucky enough to have a couple in the shop. It's a loud, live-feeling alt-rock record about isolation and rebuilding, for fans of The Dirty Nil and big, scrappy choruses.
Chug is a debut built on second thoughts. Cam Kahin wrote it through a stretch of self-reflection, and the songs circle isolation, imposter syndrome and the slow work of putting yourself back together.
The noise is the point, though. mxdwn heard a record where "you can hear the band playing," loud and live in feel, with "limbo" pulling everything back for a quiet, vocal-led moment before "where'd it all go wrong?" closes the album.
Cam Kahin sings like he means it.
