Signed copies of Bedouin Soundclash's debut album, the record they made as Queen's University students in 2001. Copies are limited, get them while you can!
We're lucky enough to have signed copies of Root Fire, the record that started it all for Bedouin Soundclash. Three friends made it in 2001 while studying at Queen's University in Kingston, years before "When The Night Feels My Song" took over Canadian radio, and it's a must for anyone who loves their roots reggae and dub.
Root Fire came out on November 16, 2001, a homemade debut the band recorded at Rainy Day Studios that May and produced themselves. Jay Malinowski even drew the cover.
It's a deeper, dubbier record than what followed: long grooves, echo-soaked guitar, and the band's love of Jamaican sound-system culture front and centre from the opening "Rodigan State Address". Dine Alone gave it a proper vinyl release in 2023 for Record Store Day.
