About the album

Bruno Mars set out to make a record as varied as an old-school jukebox, and he wasn't kidding: Unorthodox Jukebox hops from Police-style new wave to disco, reggae, Motown soul and piano balladry without missing a beat. He made it with his production team the Smeezingtons, plus Mark Ronson, Jeff Bhasker and Emile Haynie.

"Locked Out of Heaven" is pure Sting-meets-Prince energy, "Treasure" is a glittering disco gem, "Moonshine" and "Gorilla" turn up the heat, and "When I Was Your Man" is the stripped-back piano heartbreaker that went to No. 1. It's the album that made it clear Bruno was in it for the long haul.
