About the album

Big voices are easy to find; big voices that can turn on a dime from gospel to country to blues rock are rarer. Teddy Swims had spent years building an audience before his first full album, and when it arrived on Warner in September 2023 it showed off every gear of that huge, raspy instrument.

The record moves through soul, pop, R&B and rock without fuss. "Lose Control" is the centrepiece, a slow-burning confession that started at No. 99 on the Hot 100 and kept climbing until it hit the top in March 2024. Around it sit "The Door," "What More Can I Say" and "Some Things I'll Never Know," plus "Goodbye's Been Good to You," "Evergreen" and "Last Communion," all built for a voice that can fill a room without a microphone.

Part 2 followed in January 2025 with Giveon, Muni Long, Coco Jones and GloRilla, and a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. "Lose Control" also became the first song ever to spend 100 weeks on the Hot 100, which is a very long time to admit you've lost control.
