![Talk Talk: The Colour of Spring [PARLOPHONE / WARNER]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33625683/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-talk-talk-the-colour-of-spring-parlophon.jpg)
Talk Talk's luminous 1986 album The Colour of Spring: "Life's What You Make It," "Living in Another World," "Happiness Is Easy" and "Time It's Time."
The Colour of Spring is Talk Talk's most successful album and a stunning bridge between their synth-pop roots and the visionary post-rock of Spirit of Eden.
Written by Mark Hollis and producer Tim Friese-Greene, the album swaps synthesizers for organ, piano, guitar, harmonica and a children's choir, with guests including Steve Winwood and Danny Thompson.
"Life's What You Make It" rides a hypnotic piano riff, "Living in Another World" is soaring and urgent, "Happiness Is Easy" opens with a choir, and "Time It's Time" builds to a glorious finale.
Spring, any time of year.
