About the album

Twenty-five years of a cartoon set in a small Colorado mountain town deserved a party in Colorado, so Trey Parker and Matt Stone booked Red Rocks Amphitheatre for two nights in August 2022 and brought their friends. Those friends happened to be two of the strangest and finest bands in America, plus two of Toronto's best-loved musicians.

Primus, who wrote and play the show's theme, and Ween, who turned up on Chef Aid back in season two, back the creators on songs from the series, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, Team America: World Police and Cannibal! The Musical. "What Would Brian Boitano Do?" and Team America's "Montage" get the full rock treatment, "Blame Canada" brings the house down, and each band plays some of its own material, Ween's "The Mollusk" among it. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, who once played themselves on the show, step up for "Closer To The Heart."

It's a loud, silly, lovingly played night out. Two members of Rush sharing a stage with "Blame Canada" is what we'd call good sportsmanship, and quite possibly the most Canadian thing to happen in Colorado all year.
