About the album

Cameron Crowe's 1992 film about twentysomethings in Seattle came with a soundtrack that became a landmark of the grunge era, mixing the city's biggest bands with Jimi Hendrix and Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson as the Lovemongers.

Alice in Chains' "Would?" is a monster, Pearl Jam's "Breath" and "State of Love and Trust" rip, Chris Cornell's "Seasons" is haunting, Mother Love Bone's "Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns" is gorgeous, and the Smashing Pumpkins' "Drown" soars.

Ann and Nancy Wilson turn up in disguise, which is very Seattle of them.
