About the album

Rosalía called it her most personal and confessional album, then made it sound like nothing else on the radio. Motomami is a collage of everything she loves, especially in Latin music: reggaeton, bachata, flamenco, jazz piano and pure noise, cut together with a fearless producer's eye.

It splits into two moods, the hard-edged "moto" and the tender "mami." "Saoko" crashes in with distorted bass, "La Fama" with the Weeknd (singing in Spanish) is a gorgeous bachata that peaked at No. 2 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, "Chicken Teriyaki" is gloriously silly, and "Hentai" is a soft, spare ballad. Pharrell Williams, Noah Goldstein and longtime collaborator El Guincho help shape it.

It's the record that turned a flamenco prodigy into a global pop force, and it topped critics' lists all over the world.
