About the album

Recorded as the band moved from Brian Jones to Mick Taylor, Let It Bleed continues the rootsy, blues-heavy path of Beggars Banquet, with guests including Ry Cooder, Al Kooper, Leon Russell, Nicky Hopkins and Merry Clayton.

"Gimme Shelter" is apocalyptic and thrilling with Clayton's astonishing vocal, "Midnight Rambler" stalks and swings, "Monkey Man" grooves, Keith takes the lead on "You Got the Silver," and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" ends with a choir.

One of the Stones' greatest albums, 50 years on. You can't always get what you want, but you can get this.
