![Red Hot Chili Peppers: Stadium Arcadium (4LP) [WARNER BROS.]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/72847555/1652x1652x2/red-hot-chili-peppers-stadium-arcadium-4lp-warner.jpg)
A 4LP box of Red Hot Chili Peppers' 2006 double album Stadium Arcadium, with "Dani California," "Snow (Hey Oh)" and "Tell Me Baby."
Stadium Arcadium was the Chili Peppers' first No. 1 album in the US and won the Grammy for Best Rock Album; this 4LP box gives all 28 songs room to breathe.
The Chili Peppers originally planned three albums six months apart, then wisely squeezed the best of it into one huge double. Stadium Arcadium is the sound of a band with nothing left to prove and a mountain of songs, and it became their first No. 1 album in the United States.
John Frusciante is on fire throughout, layering guitars like he's making up for lost time, and Rick Rubin keeps it all warm and wide. "Dani California" swaggers, "Snow (Hey Oh)" spins its fingerpicked magic, "Tell Me Baby" and "Hump de Bump" bring the funk, and "Desecration Smile" and "Wet Sand" show the band's tender side.
It pulled in seven Grammy nominations. It was also Frusciante's last record with the band for a decade, a fitting high to go out on.
