About the album

Following The Dark Side of the Moon, David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Nick Mason built Wish You Were Here around the epic, nine-part "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," a tribute to Syd Barrett, along with sharp commentary on the music business.

Gilmour's guitar and Wright's synths make "Shine On" breathtaking, "Welcome to the Machine" pulses with menace, "Have a Cigar" features Roy Harper on vocals, and the acoustic title track is one of the most beloved songs in rock.

Still wishing, still here.
