George Evelyn has been making the ultimate lazy-afternoon records as Nightmares on Wax since the late eighties, and In a Space Outta Sound might be the most blissed-out of the lot. It's soul, dub, hip-hop and jazz melted together in the sun.

"You Wish" is the big one, that bouncy, unmistakable groove you've almost certainly heard in an ad or a TV show. "Flip Ya Lid" and "Pudpots" nod along with dusty breaks, "Passion" and "The Sweetest" glide in on silky vocals, and "African Pirates" closes with a swaying, sunlit sway of horns and percussion.
