![Neil Young: On the Beach (Neil Young Archives Series) [REPRISE]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33626983/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-neil-young-on-the-beach-neil-young-archi.jpg)
Neil Young's 1974 album On the Beach in the Neil Young Archives series: "Walk On," "See the Sky About to Rain," "Revolution Blues" and "Ambulance Blues."
On the Beach was long overlooked but is now hailed as one of Neil Young's finest albums, a loose, raw and beautifully honest record.
Part of the so-called Ditch Trilogy that followed Harvest, On the Beach is relaxed and bluesy, with members of the Band and Crazy Horse among the players, and Young's songwriting at its most candid and reflective.
"Walk On" is a breezy, catchy opener, "See the Sky About to Rain" is gorgeous, "Revolution Blues" bristles with tension, and the nearly nine-minute "Ambulance Blues" is a mesmerising, harmonica-laced masterpiece.
The beach was always worth a visit.
