About the album

After two mostly instrumental albums, Khruangbin added more vocals on Mordechai, with Laura Lee and Mark Speer singing over the trio's trademark blend of funk, soul, psychedelia and global grooves. It's warm, dancey and deeply relaxing.

"Time (You and I)" is a breezy disco-funk delight, "So We Won't Forget" is a tender, catchy highlight, "Pelota" is a joyful Spanish-language groove, and "Father Bird, Mother Bird" drifts beautifully.
