About the album

Houston trio Khruangbin (Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, DJ Johnson on drums) fell in love with Thai funk and psychedelic rock from the 1960s and 70s, and this debut channels it into something laid-back, hypnotic and all their own.

Critics compared it to ripples on water, and that's about right: "Mr. White," "White Gloves" and "People Everywhere (Still Alive)" float along on Mark Speer's reverb-soaked guitar and Laura Lee's deep, melodic bass. Perfect for any time of day.
