About the album

Toronto has a soft spot for a summer show by the lake, and on August 2, 2022, RBC Echo Beach got a good one. Khruangbin brought Montreal's Men I Trust along as tourmates, and the result became part of a series of live LPs, each pairing the Houston trio with a support act and a venue.

Men I Trust open with dreamy, understated grooves: Emmanuelle Proulx's soft vocals float over "Sugar," "Seven" and "Show Me How," with Jessy Caron and Dragos Chiriac keeping the pulse low and steady. Then Laura Lee Ochoa, Mark Speer and DJ Johnson take over with the bass-heavy, globe-trotting psychedelia that made them famous, from "Dern Kala" to "Evan Finds the Third Room" and "White Gloves."

Two bands shared one stage and a very good evening by Lake Ontario. If you were in the crowd, this is the souvenir that doesn't need a tour shirt to fit.
