About the album

Keeping a band together is hard enough; keeping it in the family is another thing entirely. The Family Business gathers the Jonas Brothers' story from the Disney-era pop of "S.O.S." and "Burnin' Up" through to the 2019 comeback, and it widens the frame to take in what Joe and Nick got up to on their own. The brothers put it together in 2023 as a warm-up for their sixth studio album, The Album.

"Sucker" leads the way, followed by "Cool," "What A Man Gotta Do" and the Marshmello team-up "Leave Before You Love Me." "Year 3000" and "Lovebug" still sparkle, Joe's band DNCE drops in with "Cake By The Ocean" and "Toothbrush," and Nick's "Jealous," "Close" and "Chains" fill out side D. Stephen Thomas Erlewine called it a generous sampler that doubles as a comprehensive history.

The cover set off an internet debate about a resemblance to the TV series Supernatural, until actor Misha Collins kindly declared it recycling and thanked the brothers for helping the environment. Collecting vinyl, of course, is just as good for the planet, as far as we're concerned.
