![Dinosaur Jr.: Where You Been (2LP Blue Vinyl) [CHERRY RED]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33619574/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-dinosaur-jr-where-you-been-2lp-blue-viny.jpg)
Dinosaur Jr.'s 1993 album Where You Been on 2LP blue vinyl: "Start Choppin," "Out There," "Get Me" and "Not the Same."
Where You Been is J Mascis at his most melodic and anthemic, with "Start Choppin" becoming the band's biggest hit.
Murph's final album with Mascis for years, Where You Been pairs fuzzed-out, soaring guitar solos with Mascis's laconic, cracked vocals and surprisingly sweet hooks, adding strings and timpani in places.
"Out There" is a crushing opener, "Start Choppin" is a catchy, falsetto-led hit, "Get Me" is a slow-burning epic with a glorious solo, and "Not the Same" is tender and acoustic.
Strings and timpani, sneaking in behind the fuzz. Earplugs are worth considering.
